I bought my car in December 2011 and fitted a Cartrack Unit through my insurance company (Quicksure). In September 2012 Cartrack informed me of an additional cover that I can take out where they (Cartrack) will pay me a max of R 150, 000 if my car is and not recovered.
On the 25 May 2013 my car was, and while sorting out the insurance I started with my Cartrack claim as well. Today, for the first time since 25 May (3.5 months later), Cartrack responded and rejected my claim.
According to Cartrack the warranty was taken out with Quicksure, but the insurance was taken out in December 2011 and the warranty only came out in September 2012 when I personally applied for it ... so how did I include this with my insurance??
Please think twice before installing a Cartrack unit, they do not commit to their own terms and conditions. Two of our cars were and not recovered by Cartrack. Rather use one of the other tracking companies, and save yourself the disappointment!!!
