Wilgers Trauma - Unprofessional Service

We went to Wilgers Trauma today (13/01/2013@15:00) to have a thorn removed from my wife's foot. Whilst there they experienced a Code Blue, which was explained to us. My wife was given a Tetanus injection by Brain and then we waited for more than an hour before a Mr Gouws informed my wife she had to go for X-Rays, we questioned why, were just told that Dr Venter wanted to see how deep the thorn was, which could be seen clearly. We questioned the need for the X-rays and Mr Gouws said that Dr Venter said she will be busy for a while and the X-Rays is just so save us TIME. I informed him that it is absurd to take X-Rays just to save time, the Dr didn't even see the thorn, how could she then deem it necessary to have X-rays taken, we didn't get an answer from Mr Gouws. We then requested a refund from the reception and left. Upon getting home, my wife actually took a needle and took out the thorn herself. This total lack of professional service from Wilgers Trauma is totally unacceptable, one of the medical assistants also querstioned the need for the X-rays when we raised it with him. There is no regard for the patient and also the issue of costs, needless X-Rays, worst ever experience!
