Refusal to swap defective E6540 – approx. 2 hours

Refusal to swap defective E6540 - approx. 2 hours old
1. I received a brand new DELL Latitude E6540 on Tuesday Nov 11 2013 at 17h30.
2. Switched it on, it worked and Windows began its configuration.
3. Switched it off after Windows was done.
4. Approx. TWO hours later I switched it on again. The LCD display was dark.
5. The LCD display never worked again.
6. The very next day, less than 24 hours after I received the device I called DELL technical support and asked them to swap this defective device.
7. DELL technical support emailed me a troubleshooting guide.
8. I followed the instructions, but nothing could be done as the display was dark.
9. So I asked again for this device to be swapped with a brand new one because this one was defective.
DELL REFUSED TO SWAP THIS BRAND NEW DEVICE
The cost of this device was approx R21 000.00.
