I fica'd my acc long ago. Last year my acc was blocked. I went to Honeycrest to find out why, it was due to missing fica docs. I asked what would happen when my salary was paid into the acc and was told that it would still go in but I would have no access to my money. The lady also advised that she could see my account must have been fica'd at some stage but it was not done properly as there was no scanned copy of my proof of residence. She also advised that they would have sent a sms to be notify before my account was blocked. This did not happen. She checked and there was an old telephone number on file. This is also strange as I have been contacted by standard bank premier banking when they want to sell me services. Why do they have the correct no. I decided at this stage to close my account, I could not do this without proof of residence. We had just moved house so I did not have this. I was advised to bring in my old proof of residence (what is the point). I did this and closed my account in August. It is still not closed. I spoke to Honeycrest manager a month ago who assured me she would sort it out and send a letter. Just received a statement acc is still open.
