We received offer on house in Sept. FNB appointed attorney to register bond without buyer/seller having a choice who bank appoint. Bond should register in 2mnths. This is 4th mnth& bond has not yet registered due to extremely bad service by law firm. We're now paying 2 bonds, muni acc&ins policies on this&new property. We anticipated to do this for 2 mnths not 4! We are now paying R10k extra pm. We budgeted for 2 mnths no longer. There has been negligence which negatively impacted us. The buyer has even paid fees to the attorney before signing the bond docs. There is no urgency on their part to speed things up as they aren't negatively impacted. What responsibility are they or FNB who appointed them taking for the poor service which is severely impacting our finances?
