Closing Credit Card

On 23 November 2013, I went to the Greenstone branch of ABSA to close my credit card which I no longer use. I dealt with a extremely helpful lady, Emmalene Govender, who contacted the Card Division to close the card. Emmalene spoke to Angelune Motswene at the Card Division and she was advised that the card would be closed. In December, I received a statement for the credit card, which I thought was quite strange, as the card should have been closed. I contacted ABSA card division myself and spoke, I think her name was Sandile/Zandile who advised me that the card would be closed.

I have now received a statement for January for the same card, which still hasn't been closed. Why wasn't this account closed when requested? I'm glad I no longer bank with ABSA after this poor service.
