We visited Thaba Thipa on the weekend of 5-7 April 2013. We were met by the owner, Veronica, who welcomed us in such a friendly and warm way that we immediately felt at home. She explained everything to us about Thaba Thipa, the trail etc. She also explained that unfortunately she will not be there the next day due to an emergency appointment, but left us with her contact details and that of the cleaning lady if we should need something. Unfortunately, we needed additional towels the next day due to our daughter who's swimming towel fell in the swimming pool. We couldn't get hold of Veronica, but got hold of her daughter who explained that Veronica is in fact in hospital for tests due to her donating a kidney in a few weeks. This really touched my heart. I read another complaint on this site about the same weekend from a MicheleR and just wanted to say, please make sure about the real facts before being so nasty. I even searched for evidence of this and came across the following letter for the local Bela Bela Newspaper.
