I missed a booked flight to Cape Town due to being in Germany at short notice for work. I flew from Germany to Cape Town for my planned break-away weekend.
I called Kulula on Saturday to confirm my return flight on Sunday
I was told that it shows an error on the system due to me missing the first flight, but that I can still use my return flight on Sunday by going to the check-in desk
Arriving at the desk I was told to go to customer care
They informed me that they can re-instate my flight at a cost of R1500 R300 admin fee!
This for a seat that I had already booked and paid for!
"It's in the terms and conditions" I was told
They even insisted on connecting to the call center, trace my phone call from Saturday, listen to the recording as i insisted that I contacted them and was not told about these "terms and conditions"
After a lengthy to-on-fro, I had to produce my credit card, pay more for my original seat than the return trip to avoid missing my return completely.
They should have seen that I'm a VERY loyal and frequent Kulula traveller and treated the situation differently. My entire weekend was spoilt.
Orange could be better than Green...
