Total chaos in the queues to check in bags. I stood in the queue waiting 2 hours before the flight., it went so slow that they split the queue and asked us to go to the opposite side where they`ll open more bagage check-ins. On the others side there were also queues and the manager / supervisor on that side refused to open up more check-in counters. At a stage people where complaining and voicing concern that we`ll loose our flights. When I was at last 3rd in the row they suddenly pushed me to the front but according to them it was 5 minutes to late.
Trying to change ticket they just said sorry the flight was booked through SAL. they can't help. After lot of tears, WiFi not working, lady at info helped me to phone SAL . sorry the only opening is on the 17th of Jan. I should buy a new ticket and try to claim a courtesy refund.
Went back to buy new ticket where at least 5 other people were complaining, . one person said he asked 3 times if he was still in time for his check-in since he realized it is getting late and they said no he should wait his turn. I ended up paying R29000.00 i can not afford (3xtimes original) because of bad service
