I had booked a bus to travel from Evander to Ladysmith on the 20th of December. Departure time was set for 11:45am, I had taken off from work (with no pay) and arrived at the stop at 11:30. Upon arriving at the stop I was sent an SMS saying the bus would be delayed for 40mins. So the bus was supposed to be there at 12:25. After waiting for 2.5 HOURS the bus had still not arrived!! This is really disappointing service, especially as Greyhound is considered to be South Africa's premier coach liner! I understand that busses can not always be on time, but waiting for 3 hours, sitting on a concrete floor at a garage in the heat, after being told that it would be only 40mins late, is absurd!! I then get another SMS (14:30pm) saying that the bus would be delayed 3 hours 10 mins from depature time!!! These bus tickets do not come cheap, and it is expected that this liner would try its utmost to please customers, I definitely do not associate Greyhound with any sort of regard in terms of time keeping anymore. I have never been made to wait that long, for a bus, in my life!!!
