My wife and i decided that we are going to go to a international destination once a year. Last year (2012) we visited Thailand and Dubai and we flew Emirates all the way, and i must say there were really no complaints. I still remember completing in a guest survey as i wanted to complement one of the air hostesses on her great service.
This year we decided to go visit Turkey and i am sad to say that the service and general hygiene of the plain was disgusting. Here is why i will not fly Emirates airline next year.
1. In all our flights except the departure flight from JHB there was the do not disturb stickers plastered on everything the side of the seat, the magazine the and the fold up tray. Totally unacceptable.
2. On our way back from Istanbul to Dubai we sat right at the back and was one of the first passages on board immediately we noticed the my wife's seat have a wet mark on it not knowing what it is we called the attended, not apologising he just grabbed a blanked from the over head storage and threw it on my wife's chair saying she can sit on it. He did not offer to move us to different seats as the plane was not full.
