This morning, 07H45 - while standing at the robot (Barons was across from me to my left) going onto the N1 direction Cape Town, I was in front of the queue waiting for the robots to change.
When the robot did change I looked left to make sure that other traffic had stopped before pulling off only to see two taxi's run through the red light that they should have stopped at followed by a GOLDEN ARROW bus!!! Just for the three of them to get stopped by the next robot 50m away.
Three seconds after the robot had changed to green for me!
I have very little faith in Golden Arrow drivers and for the MANAGEMENT of Golden Arrow Bus Service in resolving this issue, all they will do is maybe call me to get additional info and nothing will happen to the driver.
All public transport should be equipped with cameras that record what the driver is doing as well as the road conditions to prevent this type of thing happening.
Only when there is a lose of life do they "take" action.
My daughter travels along that same route as do many other CHILDREN yet the drivers do as they want.
There is a camera at that robot and I am sure if you asked for the footage the traffic Dep will give it.
