Embarking on our journey from Mosselbay to Cape Town on the 27th October 2013, the Intercape Mainliner (bus number 132) began to tip from side to side. Ignoring the concerns from onboard travellers, the bus driver went on his job. It was said by a few of the onboard travellers that the problem had started in Port Elizabeth and the bus driver ignored this. About 30km outside of Mosselbay, the driver decides to call a break down and pull over. With the current problem, we were told to head back to Mosselbay with the problematic bus. We are then taken back to Intercape Office based in Mosselbay where we are to switch busses. From the one bus that tips from side to side, we are put on a bus with NO seatbelts, a fire extinguisher which has expired in 2012, there is no working air conditioning and the general maintenance of the bus is not up to standard. What happened to safety first??? Being a regular Intercape customer and traveling with Intercape for 5years now, I am very disgusted in the down grade of Intercape's service. If I wanted a bad experience, I would have chosen S.A. Roadlink. I am very disappointed! And don't think I will ever want to drive Intercape again
