18th October 2013 I flew from OR Tambo to Port Elizabeth on SA401 at 06:10. Breakfast was server on the flight, I Request a cheese sandwich, after eating the 1st half on the sandwich, I then proceeded to take a bite of the 2nd half and as I glanced into the package to my disgust I found a Live Spider walking around the sandwich. I immediate spat the rest of the sandwich out and felt sick to the stomach. I gave the package to the flight attendant (Micheal) who was extremely shocked and said he would report this. This is extremely unacceptable and disgusting, this spider could of been poisonous, it could of laid eggs in the sandwich that i ate. This is extremely bad service (dangerous) and you are playing with passengers lives. Hygiene and cleanliness should you number 1 concern.
I have video and photo footage of this and I will be broadcasting this on social media, the rest of the passages around me where shocked and concerned to what else is found in SAA meals.
Investigation needs to addressed with this matter, I will also be contacting your customer service with regards to this matter.
