I bought 3 return tickets for my 3 daughters from Johannesburg to Durban on the 25th June 2013. They left on the 28th June at about 09H20 as the bus was late. Approximately 2 hours later, the bus tyre burst. It took more than 3 hrs to fix. An hour later, the bus broke down. This time it took forever, I finally drove and picked up my daughters at about 11H45 at night, I couldn't't leave my children to spend a night in a cold bus in the middle of winter worse without blankets as I expected them to arrive in Durban at about 4H30 PM.
The following day I went and complained to the bus company and cancel the return tickets. I did not receive any apology, nor was I refunded my money. I was given a form to claim my refund and was asked to get an affidavit. I submitted all that the following day. I was also made to write a statement. I have been frequenting the bus company to ask for my money. Todate I have not received it. Last month I was offered a 5% discount on my next trip. I found it insulting to take my full price and be offered a 5% of it. When I went to complain again I was then offered a free single trip to Durban for 1, before 15th October. Todate I still have not been refunded.
