Where is our money?

In November, we changed our debit order date for December. As we waited, the store received a confirmation email saying the change was successful. In December, we then got debited on the wrong day, resulting in the debit order being rejected. Upon querying, we were told that we changed the date too late in November (Why then confirm it as successful?). We accepted this and said we'd pay cash. The bill was more than what it should have been as they changed banking details without our consent, so now my boyfriend has both accounts on his name instead of one on mine and one on his as originally signed for. Who gave permission for this? Once again, we conceded and paid both bills in cash, only to receive a double debit order once agin for December on the date we had changed it to in November. This means, we have now paid 3 times for 2 accounts for the month of December. We were told we would be credited for the 2 extra debits, and that this would take 2 weeks. We were eventually only credited for 1 and told that the credit would be carried over for January. Today, we were debited for the month of January. Our debit date has never been the 16th and what has happened to our credit?
