I tried to migrate my ADSL to Mweb and was assured it would be simple and would be done quickly. After filling in their numerous forms, and being told that I had to start paying for a data subscription in order for them to do the migration, I waited for the account to be migrated. A week later I recieved an email that they needed me to speak to Telkom in order to do the migration. This turned out to be problematic as Telkom didn't answer their phones. So I asked MWEB to assist. And that was the last that I heard from them.
Until their billing department got in touch to say that I had an overdue account (which was a surprise seeing as the service had not been activated and I was told it would be a direct debit!). I have a fundamental problem being billed for a service that they have failed to deliver, and also being told that I need to fill in a cancellation form and that they require one months notice to cancel a service that they have never delivered!!!
My advice - STAY AWAY FROM MWEB! They obviously don't care about their clients and don't want new clients! They make even our State Owned Entity look like a great supplier!
