In Nov 2011 I was approched by a promoter in randburg telling me about a trail free product from Telkom. She stated that all I needed was a landline, it was free for the first three months and thereafter I can decide wether I like the product and carry on as a client. I called the call center and spoke to Diphuo who did not go through any vrebal contract with me, so I did not agree to any terms and conditions. The line was installed, the final month came and I then received a statement stating that I owed Telkom. I received one statement and I was subsequently handed over to attorneys. I was served a severe blow as telkom promoters are commision earners and they then lack to stated the main facts and sell the product as a free trail whilst the consumer is unaware of the implications. I would like the promoter who works for a promotions company in Randburg to be reprimanded as well as the sales person Diphuo. I am not liable for their errors. I never want to know about aby promotional product that Telkom has to offer and I am simply disheartened at the fact that I have to deal with atorneys.
