We have held a standard 3G contract with Vodacom for numerous years for 17 sim cards, initially on a 17MB data plan and then in 2012 upgraded to a MY 1G data plan.
In no communication from Vodacom did they inform us that the data plan was uncapped and the charges would be R2 per MB for data usage in excess of the 1G.
This has resulted in an exhorbatant bill, which we have queried and received little to no assistance in resolving the dispute of the misrepresentation. Consequently, we have made payment of the standard monthly bill, and informed Vodacom thereof. The dispute with 2 out of 17 sim cards, however Vodacom has proceeded to suspend our entire account for which the 15 undisputed cards have receicved payment in full.
This has resulted in company downtime and thus financial losses.
It is appalling that a provider as well established as Vodacom would conduct themselves in such a disreputable manner.
