Hi,
In June 2011, I subscribed for a 12-month internet usage (3-G) for R149 per month. In June 2012, I resubscribed, but for 24 months (still R149 p/m). I suddenly started paying R298 per month from November 2012 to date. Following my continuous enqueries, it emerged this week that the double payment is due to the 2 lines (previous & current subscriptions). Nashua headquarters argue that I did not terminate the contract on the first subscription. My resubscription in June 2012 was based on my understanding and what I told the salesperson that the subscription was expiring. I am now told that I did not complete the necessary forms for contract termination and that, to my surprise because the salesperson did not give me more forms, the forms I completed were only for upgrading. That is, the 12 months were for subscription (contract continues for 24 months). Nashua further argues that the onus was on me to request the contract termination forms. How on earth I could do that because the salesperson confirmed that the paperwork for the 2 subscriptions was complete? I am now paying for the service I am not using. I still feel all these justify a refund to me. Kindly assist.
