Phone went in for repairs for the 2nd time on 03/03/2013.Got a phone call from the Cell C branch in Blue Route mall on 12 March 2013 telling me to fetch a broken phone, it is BER.Placed a complaint on Hello Peter. This woman Blanche from Cell C gave me a call on 15 March 2013, she was extremely rude and told me to buy a new phone or buy out of the contract and pay in R689.70.It's within the one year period. Spoke to a man who deals with Cell C contracts through Game and I got no where with him as he said BER means that the phone is too expensive to repair. On Hello Peter when someone else complained, Cell C said it means that the phone is not within the 12 months period. Cell C looking for a way out. Then they say you taking out a contract for the sim not the phone, you must buy a new phone. Why do people take out contracts??? For the phone obviously, how can they talk such bull? I see so many stories now of people complaining and warning you not to take out contracts with Cell C.Seems Cell C has been getting away with doing this to people. I am a single mother and took out this contract in good faith. The phone is still at the branch. I have sent my story to ombudsman.
