HAVING TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES

I started using Neotel four years ago. Up to two months ago I was fairly satisfied with their service. However, two months ago I started having problems with the handset that they give you. I phoned their call centre to request for a replacement phone. I specifically asked them for a cordless phone.

I had to pay an amount of R399 for the phone. When they delivered the phone I noticed that it is one of the "pay as you go" phones and not what I requested. After numerous calls to the call centre and after being promised that they will deliver the correct phone nothing happened. My husband had to go to their office in Menlyn to try and sort this out. Only then did they provide him with the Cordless phone which I requested from the beginning. When I received my account for this month, I saw that they are now billing me R631.18 for service fee on the cordless phone on a new number as well as R279.82 on my current number.

I was never informed that I will have to pay additional charges. I was never informed that I will be billed for the
"pay as you go" phone which. Their staff at their call centre is unable to assist and every time I phone I have to explain myself over again.
