My wife and I run our small businesses from home and both are heavily reliant on ADSL Telkom and we are on the fastest ADSL. Logged a call on 4 April, today is 7 April, no word from Telkom. Decided to try call centre today.
Phoned 1st time and here is what happened:
(1) Tree prompt auto answer system very frustrating, input my 10-digit line twice in this phase
(2) Eventually put through to a real person
(3) Real person wants me to give him my line number again! This is now the third time I have to give my 10 digit number!
(4) Aired my frustration, call centre agent promptly puts phone down on me!?
Phoned 2nd time, and here is what happened:
(1) Same process as in 1-3 above
(2) Decide to not air frustration as much as before (!?)
(3) Lady very friendly and starts process of resetting the line
(4) I hear a lot of voices joking and animated talking on the line
(5) Checked with call centre agent if this was a crossed line; no she says, they are very busy on the call centre (?)
(6) I don't think so, sounded like bored call centre agents bantering in the background... not very professional
(7) Bottomline, line still completely down; no voice line and no ADSL and no URGENCY from Telkom.
