We moved at the end of May and asked Telkom to move the service, but we wanted a new number as well. Our ADSL line was with another service provider, so we first had to get them to migrate the line back to Telkom, which they did. Telkom moved the line and ADSL line, but the number was still the same. They then assured it is a quick process to change the number. We filled in the form on 12 June to change the number. When they eventually attempted to do that (after 2 weeks) we were cut off. It has now been 3 days that we've had no voice line at all. When we phone the call centre they log a call and when we go to a branch they tell us to call the call centre. Yesterday they said a technician will come out today (Saturday), which did not happen. It seems no-one want to take responsibility. For most of the month of June we did not have a phone line and we still pay the R300 per month for unlimited landline calls. We are desperate to get some service!!
