I had an autopage/cel contract which ended on 2 September 2013.
In august i cancelled the contract and was told that my number would be put on prepaid on 30 sep.
I was also told that my last debit order would be on 30 sep. perfect. that would be exactly 24 moths of debit orders.
However on 2 October i discovered that my contract was still open. after a call to autopage (my service provider), it was cancelled in 3 days. the number then stopped working. odd. Even more odd, i get a bill for R260.
On 16 October, i went to the Kwagga Centre branch (thank you to the efficient manager) who called autopage and queried
a) why was the number not working
b) why was i billed-again?
They agreed that i didnt have to pay that amount as i had already settled my account in full. they also said that my line would be working in 24 hours. After 2 weeks of waiting i went to the centurion branch and on investigating, i was informed by cell c/autopage that i would now have to pay R110 if i wantedd to put the sim on prepaid!
When my vodacom contract ended in may, my simcard went onto prepaid and i have now used it on my phone and it works! So bye bye cell c sim. you have lost a valuable custome
