MTN 24-hour Uncapped

On Saturday morning I used some of my loyalty point to purchase a 24-hour uncapped bundle.
At 00:55 I received a SMS confirming my purchase, so I started downloading downloading a game and its updates.
At 23:00 I disconnected my phone from my PC, so I do not go over the 24 hour deadline.
Then see that at 9:00 that morning a SMS came in claiming that I have to activate my bundle, which means I was charged for the previous time I went onto this bundle as well!

Nowhere during the process of getting this bundle did I receive any notice that there where extra steps involved in using my 24-hours bundle. Now I'm sitting with a bill that I cannot afford to pay at all, and may in fact cause me to lose my income all together.

MTN says I have to wait until they invoice before they can investigate, but I am literally losing my mind over this, the guy at the MTN center did e-mail someone and gave me a reference number of 1928839.

I cannot wait for MTN to invoice me in 2 weeks to start getting this issue resolved, I need to sort this matter out now... I have to cancel going to away over Easter because of this.

Please, If there is anyone that can help me with this!
