Telkom contacted us a week ago to confirm that they would instal our ADSL for us today. We simply accepted the fact that they could not give us a time and requested us to make the whole day-little did we know.
It is know past 7 o'clock at night and we have been waiting for telkom to arrive since 8 this morning! A simple phone call to reschedule would have be nice considering that we have had to take a days worth of leave to ensure that someone is home for telkoms arrival. That is a day which could have been doing something a whole lot better than waiting for a service provider to arrive.
After 2 phone calls to the call centre we were assured that our installation would still take place today-I find it hard to believe that in this day and age they can not be directly contacted by your call centre to find out where they are. In essence we were blatantly to and told what we wanted to here to keep us quiet!
This behavior is unacceptable and it's with regret that we have even chosen telkom to do our installation for us. Your 7 day installation promise is a load of bull! So why even pretend to make the promise in the first place.
