Visited Nashua Mobile (Icon Centre, Shop 4A, crn Hans Strijom & Long Street, Cape Town) Nice friendly chat to Carlo (021 425-9575 [Email Removed] accepted a special deal: HP Compaq CQ58 Notebook (comes with 2GB of data on the Cell C network) for R309.00pm for 24 months. I was told I could come collect my computer on Friday 22nd Feb.
27th Feb
I phoned Head Office - Ref:8555494. Was told there are no Compaq Notebooks in stock. Still no correspondence from Carlo (left a message with Chandren) or his manager (083 6334593). I called HP, Casper du Plessis (082 3775154) to hear that there are no shortages of that particular computer.
11th March
Visited Carlo again after not one call returned! Was told the computer is now available but there are no Cell C modems!
13th March
Carlo called - I can come fetch my computer. I did so.
14th March
The modem is not working. Double check with Nashua Technical line. Was told the modem would be sent back and the replacement would arrive on Monday 18th.
18th March
Get a call from Carlo to say he can't return the modem without its packaging...
19th March
I returned the packaging.
21st March
Still NO Correspondence from anyone!!
