I have a 24 month internetcontract with Vodacom. It worker for 6 months, then stopped. A technician has been to our house (29 Jan) and identified that the problem is not with us but with the service. I have been contacting Vodacom since then. This complaint has been brought under the attention of management in both the Consumer relations -and technical department. Despite numerous calls we have received no info on how/when/if the problem will be fixed and therefore want to cancel the cntract. 2 Weeks ago their Network department confirmed that the contract will be canceled. Yesterday I found out that it hasn't and none of our complaints/attempts to end the contract has been recorded. Within the last month I have gotten no answers, lots of promises, no call backs and no service. I also believe that Vodacom have breached my rights as sated in the Consumer Act. I expect Vodacom to cancel this contract immediately, provide me with written proof of this and no penalty fee as I am cancelling the contract based on the fact that the primary service isn't being provided. I have brought the problem under Vodacom's attention and given them reasonable time to fix it.
