Contact centre failing to resolve application

I am trying to get my number, re-activated by Vodacom since 14 Jan, but this simple process has turned to be a big painful nightmare for me. I was told to file documentation and pay money at the Store, which I did at their Sunny Side branch. After waiting for a month, the number was still not activated, I called them but they could not find the documents.

I was told to go back to their branch, I protested that. I asked them to do the simple thing - "pick up the phone and call your own branch". I didn't win, so I went back to the branch and it turned out that the fax was sent through with a positive confirmation. The branch then re-submitted my application.

Today, 1 Mar 2013, I called the concerned department and was told that something in the application was not clear and that I should go back to the store and get the application resent. I think this is beyond insolence.

Clearly I am dealing with people with no regard for their customers. Things got worse, I tried to contact their customer complaints department - it turns out that no one within Vodacom knows what the contact number for customer complaints is.

What do we do when we are abused & humilated by big corporates
