Payment option change without my consent!

I am absolutely livid with MTN right now.

After paying an outstanding amount in December 2012 due to arrears on my account, MTN decides to place me on a cash plan whereas I manually have to pay the account!! I was under the impression my monthly debits have been going of as I initially made sure my account was up to date with payments and that normal billing will resume. Now they have suspended my account, as according to them I have NOT MADE PAYMENTS! What is that!!! I have signed a contract stating that i will be billed monthly and DEBITED every last day of every month!!

Now I need to wait for the credit management team to call me and still waiting till this very hour. This contravenes every aspect of me as a consumer entering into an agreement with MTN as I didnt even receive a notification of this.

I will take this up with the necassary consumer bodies
