Late Charges - Radio Streaming

I started listening to a local radio station through internet streaming (as they daily advertise that the streaming of their station through blackberry is free of charge - even on their website) over a month ago and have been doing this every day, all day. All of a sudden today I start being charged for it!
I also have a R100 limit on my contract as I do not want my bill to go above this. I received a msg saying that I have reached 50% of my limit, 2 minutes later one saying 70%, 1 minute later one saying 90%. I then switched off my phone and back on. Then I received a message saying that my phone has been soft locked.
Now, almost 2 hours after my phone was locked, my bill is still going up?!?! It's up to over R200 over my limit! And thus far it's not stopping. And now, no-one at Vodacom can tell me what the problem is and why I am being charged all of a sudden. They also can't stop my bill from increasing as "the phone has been locked".

If I didn't just upgrade, I would have cancelled my contract as this is absolutely disgusting!
It appears that, as I haven't been charged for this in the past, they are making up for lost time.
