Advertising Specials that the branches don't have

HI.

Vodacom's February specials began on Thursday the 7 February 2013. We went into Vodacom on the Monday the 4 February 2013 to enquire about our upgrade. The sales lady said come back on Friday as the new specials will be in store.

On Friday we went to get our upgrade, we wanted to choose the Blackberry 9320 with the Vodafone webbook. 1 day into the special and neither of the Bayside Shopping Mall branches had stock of the webbook and they informed us we can't get that upgrade. On Saturday the 8 February 2013 we went to Canal Walk Shopping center and tried to get the same special. The sales consultant at that branch informed us that they had NOT RECEIVED stock of the webbook yet, so we had to settle for a different package which just gave us the phone.

How can Vodacom advertise specials for which the shops do not have stock?

The brochure does say LIMITED STOCK BUT limited stock is not the same as NO STOCK been delivered.

I find this extremely poor on the side of Vodacom. It is embarrassment for the staff trying to sell a product and uphold the name of your brand when the branches do not have stock ONE DAY into the special.
