Can someone please tell me why patient information was given to a person over the phone without knowing if it is really the person calling, any one can call and get information about a patient's condition it seems, and even if the staff made the call, how do they know that it is really the person they called.
the patient's whole medical information was given to someone over the phone, and it has caused so much problems, i am not happy at all, as i thought that Leratong was a good and professional hospital, but they have just dissapointed me badly.
the patient in question is Brian Geere who is in ward 7, he is 37 years old, and old enough for his medical infoprmation not to have been given to someone over the phone, i am his life partner for the last 20years, and di tell the staff that, and did also give them my telephone number should there be anything, but instead they phoned his mother, and gave her information that caused a lot of problems, and now he will be cut off from the family, and loose all their support, just because someone can't think for themselfes
