I joined AfriHost recently and am making use of one of their mobile internet packages. This package is in fact my secondary internet connection, and I use it while on the road. When you do not use their internet connection for a period of time, you are notified via SMS and email to check your settings to ensure that all is well.
I asked them on 9 January (almost a month ago) to disable this setting for me. I had to ask them multiple times, as I would either receive no response at all, or the support staff would disable all my notifications (including my data notifications) to solve the issue. I replied to the 2 times they chose to respond (and disable all my notifications for me) that I do not wish to disable my data usage notifications, only the message reminding me daily to check my connection settings (as I do not use this connection daily).
I am going in circles attempting to explain this to them, and phoning them is out of the question as I do not wish to hold for 17 minutes (as the automated voice estimated). I must urge them to improve on their customer service, as an incompetent customer service department can cause a great deal of frustration (as it is in this case)
