I was debited over R11000 this month, and looking at another charge of R6000 for next month - one of my phones went out of data bundles, and no warning was given to this (they say they did). Why must contract customers pay out of data rates and constantly top up with data bundles? If I was given warnings to this fact I would have bought the bundles they are forcing us to buy! You cannot even put a block on data without blocking outgoing calls, and if you set your phone not to use mobile data, most apps don't work. Vodacom is too greedy and know that smart phones constantly need to update in order for the apps to work, making more money out of us and just charging whatever the feel like. they just called me after I complained again because they did not come back to me within the promised 48 hours, telling me it will take another 14 days. but in meantime I need to make arrangement so that I can at least buy food for the month! How many other unsuspecting consumers is out there that don't even realize this. the phone used over 10 gig of data, if I bought the data bundles it would have cost me R1600.00 (I would have gladly pay for that rather)
