In August 2013, I lodged a complaint with MTN relating to the incompetence and wilfull misrepresentation made by an employee at their Durbanville Branch, Curtley Barends. It has been 5 months and the complaint has not been addressed. MTN's complaint email address only has an auto reply, but no response is ever forthcoming. Efforts to speak directly to senior management have fallen on deaf ears.
To make matters worse, since having lodged a complaint with MTN, my cellular service has been suspended on 6 occasions and on each occasion, when I have reported it to MTN, they have admitted that it is due to an administrative or technical blunder on their part. On each occasion I have been without telephone communication for up to 24 hours. On 28 January 2014, I was once again disconnected and after reporting the problem I was told that it would take 2 to 24 hours to reconnect the service. It is now 1pm on 30 January 2014 (some 54 hours later) and I have still not been reconnected.
Pathetic!
