EXTREMELY bad ping

So Telkom decided to upgrade my line from 2mb to 4mb YAY!!! or so i thought :-(

Since the upgrade i have literally been unable to play online games. My ping went from 210 - 220 on my 2mb line to 300 - 1000!!! It renders my line useless for gaming.

When i call the call centre all they want to do is reset my port which wont help at all... EVER!!! Since there is no fault on my line and my downloads are fast they ASSUME my line is perfect!!! In fact when you call the call centre they dont even know what ping is until you explain to them that although your line is fast it means nothing if your information takes forever to get from point a - b.

Its been like this for almost a month now and to be honest im. I dont download alot at all and use this connection for gaming mostly and i cant do that at all.

I read that they are basically putting gaming with non priority things like downloads ect which means that until off-peak times i.e from 11pm on wards my ping will bottlekneck and i wont be able to play.

i just have no idea what to do anymore really i dont and it seems telkom dont care about it iether as there have been alot of complaints about this on here and other sites :-(
