We have recently signed up with Telkom for their 1mb uncapped ADSL package.
The speed of my internet as per [URL Removed] has not once been higher than 0.7mb/s and averages 0.5mb/s download with a 250 ping.
What is the point of a 1mb line if it runs at this speed permanently. We got this line for gaming and whilst I'm quite aware that 1mb may not be sufficient for all games it is sufficient to receive a stable 200ms connection to the server I am using. I know this as friends of mine have MWEB 1mb and it works like a dream with 60 ping and 0.97mb/s download rate.
I am constantly at around 700ms ping and it is unplayable. Fibre Optic Cables were laid over 3 months ago this service I am getting from Telkom is not acceptable. My advice to any and everybody, DON'T GET TELKOM INTERNET!
I want this problem sorted and i want a speed of at least 0.8mb/s permanently!!! Why didn't you just sell me a 512kb line? It looks like you did!
