I applied for an ADSL line on Saturday 18 Jan 2014. I had a brochure at home with the specific promotion (Telkom Simple Uncapped 2Mbps) package advertised at R514 per month. This promotion is valid untill March 2014. Nokuthula said that this package price is in fact R194 for the line and R365 for the data. Total will be R559 per month. I did not have the mentioned brochure with me, and she said they did not have any with the price I mentioned. I went home and found the brochure I had and also looked on the web again this morning (20 Jan 2014) and found that this package is still advertised at R514 per month. I called 10210 and after holding more that 15 minutes got a consultant who said that I will have to pay the amount as stipulated on my application form filled out on Saturday. Why are the public mislead? I want a product as advertised. Produt advertised at: [URL Removed] . Why am I charged R45 per month more that advertised? I expect to pay a price as promised and advertised.
