I feel completely cheated. A month ago I opened a new contract with MTN in addition to my existing cellphone contract. This new contract was for an Acer laptop on a 2GIG top up package. I specifically asked the shop assistant for a top up package to avoid the shock of large billings come month end. To my surprise, when I recieved my invoice for this month I was billed R3000!!! instead of the R370 I was meant to be billed according to the not so helpful shop assistant. After a phone call to Jaco at MTN Brits Mall he informed me that my contract was an open line. This is not what I asked for. This is not what I signed for and I am most certainly not paying R3000 for MTN Brits Mall's paperwork mistake. Beware fellow South Africans. Think carefully before doing any sort of business with MTN. Especially their branch in Brits Mall!!
