On Saturday morning 11January I went to the Riversquare Mall to get 2 prepaid sim cards as well as a 24month contract fot the internet package of 10g 10g of R299pm. All 3 sim cards were Rica'd, and "registered". It is now Wednesday 15 January & STILL no internet or use of the sim cards. The msg on the phone just says "Not Registered". I phoned Telkom in the Mall since Sunday but the phones just ring non stop for 5 days! I went to Telkom in Riversquare &Telkom in the Vaal Mall & the Customer service is PATHETIC! At both shops the non-enthusiastic way they they tell you that the "System is of" is nausiating... How on earth can a system as big as Telkom be off for FIVE days??!! I applied for ADSL in December and due to a lack of service cancelled the whole deal in January. Stupid me gives them a chance to redeem their pathetic service just to have even WORSE service the second time around. I dumped the 2 prepaid simcards in the trash & got one from Vodacom & was fixed up with them the moment I put the sim card in my phone. Fantastic service!! Telkom should take lessons from Vodacom regarding service because their lack of customer service & competent personel are costing them BIG time!!!
