Mtn
Charged for something I do not have

I renewed my contract on Tuesday the 12th of November 2013. Once home I regretted my decision. I went back on Wednesday the 13th of November to cancel the renewal, and was told that I couldn't. I was advised that they could drop me to a lower contract, and I verbally agreed. They kept the Samsung S4 cellphone and advised that the change would take 3 days. On Friday the 22nd of November, after no feedback whatsoever, I e-mailed MTN advising them that I have no contractual obligation to them as their service is pathetic, and I would only pay for my current contract. Melissa van Jaarsveld replied, confirming that the contract renewal was cancelled, and that as I no longer had the Samsung S4 cellphone, that I was not liable for any further costs. MTN Kloof then contacted me on Monday the 18th of November, 13 days later advising that I could come in to finalise everything. I laughed and forwarded them my e-mail correspondence from head office.

My normal bill is R380.50 every month; December it was R510 and this month it's R535! I was told that a billing query was opened last month - still waiting! I cancelled the debit order and now eft the R380.50.

This is unacceptable!
