MTN Network Issues

Since the start of 2014, the MTN Network on my iPhone has been switching between Edge or No Network despite having a 3G SIM card.

I understand that in certain areas, the Network may not be as strong which would justify an Edge signal. However, I find it completely unacceptable that when I am in certain areas, the Network cuts completely and I am therefore unable to do anything on my mobile phone.

I also think that if I have a 3G SIM card, the Network should predominantly be 3G. However, this is certainly not the case.

I have mentioned my concerns on both Facebook and Twitter but I am yet to receive a response from MTN.

If MTN is having Network-related issues, this should be conveyed to the public.

I have spoken to colleagues and friends who are on the MTN Network and they have told me that they are experiencing similair issues. To make matters worse, these colleagues and friends do not even live and work in the same area (s) as I do.

Colleagues and friends who are using other Networks do not seem to be experiencing these issues.

I would appreciate a response from a representative from MTN as soon as possible.
