Browser incompatibility with website selfbuild

Hi, just a bit frustrated. Have been with MWEB for well over a decade, possibly even two, and have always been mostly happy with the service. Over the last two years I took advantage of their website offer for small businesses and for the most I've been happy with it. Initially you could only use Internet Explorer, which I wasn't too happy about because I'm a Firefox fan. But, got used to it for the website side of things. But now today I tried working on the website and discovered that now that IE has done a software update, it now ALSO doesn't work with the web-build system. So now I have had to download, at the suggestion of the MWEB consultant I spoke to, a third browser in order to access my website (Google Chrome). And if Chrome has an inevitable update? How many browsers will I have to have on my computer?! Is there a way around this?
