My 8ta contract was set to expire on 2013-12-08 so on 2013-11-08 i sent a email to the retentions office with the email supplied by a call center agent. In December my full debit order still went off and i accepted it. On 2013-12-24 i called the customer care line to enquirer if my contract is now canceled on which i was told that i sent my cancelation request to the wrong email. It was the email that was supplied by the agent which apparently is to a norther department. I then forwarded this email to the new email address supplied and was told that i must rather go to a Telkom office for help.
My reasons for canceling is that i took this contract at my local Altec Autopage Direct store 2years ago and Autopage cant assist me anymore. Further more, Telkom closed there local office in my town now forcing me to drive - 100km to Pretoria to an office. This is not what i signed on for 2years ago!
Telkom Mobile is not even responding to my emails and there is no known number to call the retentions department. In the mean time, i had lost my sim and to do a sim swop, i must go to a Telkom office in person. They don't do telephonic sim swops!
Telkom clearly promotes telecomunication!
