As is the tradition, I signed a telkom contract on application of the service. After taking the sales person Ayanda to my factory to see what I wanted to do, I was confident he knew what he was doing and would suply me with the suitable service, unfortunately after a long delay, telkom technicians installed what they called a space stream which my it guy said wasn't compatible with the cameras. We called Ayanda to explain this and it took him months to come with his manager Phillip who both acknowledged the mistake and promised to get it sorted. They went for about 2 weeks without communicating then I tried to call Ayanda's office line where I was told they didn't know him but that line belonged to Old Mutual. I then went to the local Telkom office where I got a 3 G modem from Yvonne Pillay and it worked. Within a week, I received a call from Ayanda complaining about the new application and asking if I would do it through him and and take but 2modems and cancel Yvonne's one. He also threatened to get Yvonne fired. I refused to take his deal and he then decided to keep the space stream account running though I wasn't using it. Up to now Telkom demands more than R10 000 on an unused account.
