Incompitent call centre agents!!!

So i canncelled my contract in October 2013, they collected the phone, but yesterday i recieved the phone back and along with paperwork that states the battery was faulty and had been replaced... how could this be because the battery was fine, and why is the phone back with me??? Well i tried calling in this morning and i spoke to about 7 different people who all couldnt help me... Eventually i get through to the last guy "Vusi" and i thought i had explained everything to him well, but he obviously got it wrong... he wants to collect the phone so that it goes in for tests, and will give me feeback once done..."but it just came back from tests and everything passes", the problem is not with the phone, its with the "NO SIGNAL" provided by the promising Cell C. So yes my contract is cancelled and im on prepaid, moving that number over to another network soon and im sitting with a phone with me. I would like to know why was this phone sent back to me as i do not want to open another contract with Cell C. Or is it just a "Gift "for me to keep... ref. number: SD108902 and job number: CLC995435. Can someone who knows what they are doing please contact me soon!!!
