Unauthorised billing on my Mobile account

My account has been debited with a daily charge of R6.14. Vodacom has blocked this payment continuesly and again I keep getting charged, I have no idea who or what these people are or about! Sms are received to say please remember you are subscribed to this service. I have tried to send sms back to say "Unsubscribe" My account for this is R552.60 per month. This rubbish should be stopped, specially with the new credit act.
I have no idea who this Companies is, I have in all my years never subscribed to any downloading on my cell, as I have heard many people complaining about this. How do I recover all the monies that I had to pay to Vodacom from this Company. Vodacom has informed me that they cannot do anything about this, surely as a service provider they must have a protection act to protect their customers against this kind of rip off. Please advise where do I go from here. The amount of Rubbish sms I receive daily to stuff I have never heard off, where do they obtain my cell phone number from in the first place?
