Unfriendly and unhelpful service

To cut a long story short, my current contract is in my mother's name as I had no credit. Now with credit behind my name, I went into Cell C (with all of the documentation required) for a new one.

The creditor's department refused to call my boss on her cell number, as I explained that our office was closed for the afternoon and the landline number was directed to my work cell number. I run the office and my boss is in and out, hence why I offered them her cell number. They flatly refused and denied my contract. They even phoned the landline number and it redirected back to me, as explained.

A) They have my payslip
B) They have seen my bank statements WITH the monthly deduction coming off WHICH I HAVE NEVER MISSED / BOUNCED
C) I do not have a contract - I haven't been at my existing job for a year - but all of our company's info is on the payslip...
D) When applying for a credit card, I got accepted and they didn't give me any of this nonsense? Surely a credit card is a more serious matter than a cell phone contract?

I am really disappointed in the way this matter was handled - instead of signing a new deal and potentially increasing their profit, they flatly refused to help
